“Whoever you are, there is some younger person who thinks you are perfect. There is some work that will never be done if you don’t do it. There is someone who would miss you if you were gone. There is a place that you can fill.”

I’ve never been a big fan of telephone communications, despite having previously worked as a receptionist and in customer service for a few years. I’d just much rather communicate via email with people I don’t know or in person with people I do know. Maybe that means my interpersonal skills or social skills are out of whack. But in this era, I’m totally okay with that.
Now, I’m going down this list calling people to follow up on some work stuff. I’d really REALLY rather not be doing this at all. I already emailed them and about half responded; why can’t I leave it at that?
Because business is still pretty traditional and a lot of it is conducted over the phone. It’s a shame, really. What I do best is write, so I’d rather write to someone than call them up and be all self conscious of my voice and stuff. Pretty annoying indeed.
I’m letting off some steam, blogging about whatever interests me so I don’t go completely insane in my pursuit for career nirvana!
But this is a good thing. No one wants to blow their top at the wrong moment…that would be just BAD. So I combined the blog I started last week about Office Decorum with this new blog… just a place for me to carry on.
Enjoy?
